SafeGauge is a global leader in machine maintenance safety technology. Locally owned and operated, SafeGauge offers a wide range of in-house developed and built technical sensors for supply to the mining and other industries.
Due to the ongoing growth of SafeGauge, we are seeking another team member for our finance and administration team based in Beresfield.
In this newly created position, you will work for a market-leading scale-up company innovating the safety industry.As part of the management team, you will be tasked with leading a small team of engineers, being involved in leadership meetings and communicating with customers.
Your new role will involve leading a team of five people working across software, mechatronics, electronics and industrial engineering. You will not be expected to be an expert in all of these fields but will be capable of providing technical guidance to the multi-disciplined engineering team.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be tasked with providing technical input into current and future products. With all the engineering and production currently taking place in Newcastle, you will be able to keep a close eye on the team, products and quality.
You will be tasked with improving upon current processes and understanding customers’ pain points to improve current and future products. As the business expands globally, there may be some future opportunities to travel the world with the business.
This is a full-time, permanent role based out of the Hunter region, where you will be working from the office 4-5 days per week. The is a hands on people management role, where you will guide a multi-disciplinary team using technologies including Flutter, Bluetooth 5 and AWS.
